Could you elaborate on the service fees part? And how do they impinge on the incentives for a speedy trial? How is it dealt differently in other countries?</description>

		<description>This blog is relatively old, but I think this is an ongoing discussion.  I would like to add to the above comment, that during the research I encountered another reason for inefficient court system is the lawyer's guild, especially in the lower courts. The service fees for legal representation in court are distorting the incentives of a speedy trial. This is of course my own personal opinion, but even some lawyer's would admit to it. I assume a change in the enumeration system of lawyers might help change the situation.</description>
